Day 1: Arrival, Labuan Bajo

You will be welcomed on board with refreshing drinks and light snacks. Your Cruise Director will introduce the crew, provide a safety briefing, and walk you through how life on board works as well as what to expect from the cruise ahead. Once you’re settled into your cabin, take some time to refresh and prepare for the first leg of your journey. As Jakare sails toward Pulau Sebayur, you can enjoy the calm and get familiar with the itinerary and the surroundings. Once at Sebayur, you’ll have your first chance to snorkel in vibrant coral gardens. If time permits, you may also explore nearby beaches by kayak or stand-up paddleboard and try out the equipment. Later in the day, Jakare will head south toward Pulau Kambing or Waenilu and anchor near the small islands. If time allows, there may be a stop to visit Rinca Village or to witness the incredible sunset flight of bats at Pulau Kaaba.

Diver option:

Enjoy a gentle check dive at Sebayur Kecil to test your equipment, refresh your skills, and get comfortable with the dive setup.

Day 2: Komodo Central

At dawn, take a dinghy to the shore at Loh Buaya. You’ll be greeted by local rangers, who will guide you to the park office for a short briefing. From there, set out on a guided walk through the island, lasting anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours, depending on the trail you choose. You’re likely to see Komodo dragons, as well as wild boars, deer, and tropical birds. After your walk, return to Jakare for a refreshing swim around the boat, followed by a well-earned breakfast. The dive or snorkel Police Corner (amazing overhang), siaba besar or Kecil (lots of turtle), and head to Waenilu for the night and enjoy a night dive there.

Day 3: Komodo Central

After breakfast on board, head to Karang Makassar or Mawan. Here, you may witness majestic manta rays or eagle rays gliding through nutrient-rich waters while being cleaned by smaller fish. Then, experience the thrill of Batu Bolong-a towering reef pinnacle full of color and life. Expect everything from vibrant corals and reef fish to blacktip and whitetip sharks, giant trevally, and barracudas. Alternatively, visit Siaba, which offers excellent snorkelling and diving for all levels, with beautiful coral and lots of turtles. Jakare will then head north for the night and drop anchor in Gili Lawa Darat.

Diver option:

Karang Makassar or Mawan for manta rays.

Batu Bolong for an explosion of color and marine activity.

Siaba besar or Kecil for advanced divers.

Day 4: Komodo North

You will explore the wild beauty of northern Komodo-home to some of the region’s most exhilarating dive and snorkel sites. If you’re diving, expect thrilling currents, reef sharks, vibrant corals, and swirling schools of fish at world-renowned sites like Crystal Rock, Castle Rock, Golden Passage, and Shotgun. Beyond the underwater adventures, you’ll also enjoy a scenic trek on Gili Lawa Darat. Whether at sunrise or sunset, the views from the top are among the best in Komodo. You’ll also have time to kayak around the tranquil bays or swim and snorkel from the beaches that fringe Gili Lawa’s shorelines. After the activities, Jakare will set sail to Pulau Banta-a remote island just outside the national park, known for its dramatic landscape and pristine waters. Overnight at Pulau Banta.

Diver options:

Crystal Rock: A thrilling pinnacle dive with trevallies, reef sharks, and dazzling coral life.

Castle Rock: For high-current action and encounters with jacks, fusiliers, and reef sharks.

Shotgun: An adrenaline-pumping drift with stunning coral gardens at both entry and exit points-keep your eyes open for surprise sightings.

Golden Passage: A beautiful drift dive through a coral-lined channel rich with turtles, sweetlips, and pelagics

Day 5: Pantai Merah & Kalimaya House Reef, Sumbawa

This morning, you will sail to the quiet shores of Pantai Merah-Komodo’s iconic pink beach. Enjoy snorkeling or diving in the surrounding reefs, and take time to simply appreciate the soft blush of the sands and the solitude of the setting. In the afternoon, Jakare will make her way back to Kalimaya, where you may have the chance to explore the incredible house reef, either with your snorkel or on a relaxed sunset dive. Jakare will spend the night sailing to Pulau Moyo.

Day 6: Pulau Moyo, Sumbawa

Arrive at Pulau Moyo early in the morning. A hidden gem of Sumbawa, Moyo is rich in natural beauty, with tropical forests, cascading waterfalls, and clear turquoise waters. Spend your day snorkeling or diving along coral reefs bustling with marine life, or take a short trek inland to discover the island’s jungle trails and waterfalls. Whether you prefer underwater discovery or land-based adventure, Moyo offers something for everyone. Overnight anchorage at Pulau Moyo.

Day 7: Saleh Bay, Sumbawa

Begin your morning exploring Saleh Bay, a calm and biodiverse marine haven. This area offers exceptional opportunities to encounter whale sharks, especially around the local bagan-traditional fishing platforms where small anchovies are harvested. These platforms often attract whale sharks, drawn by the abundance of food. We dedicate time at these sites, snorkeling and diving in respectful proximity to observe these gentle giants up close-a truly humbling and unforgettable experience. Enjoy snorkeling or diving in this peaceful bay, surrounded by rich marine life and tranquil scenery. In the afternoon, Jakare will lift anchor from Pulau Moyo and begin her sail toward Sumbawa Besar. Take this time to relax, reflect, or enjoy the company of your fellow travellers as the boat glides across the sea. Overnight sailing toward Sumbawa Besar.

Day 8: Sumbawa Besar, Departure

Arrive in Sumbawa Basar early in the morning. As your journey comes to a close, take time for one last breakfast, exchange memories and photos with the crew and fellow travelers, and say your goodbyes. You’ll disembark in time for your morning flight, bringing with you the stories, serenity, and spirit of this unforgettable voyage.
